Córdoba's Climate
Córdoba lies in central Argentina, inland at the foot of the Sierras de Córdoba at around 400 m, giving it a humid subtropical climate with summer rainfall. Being in the southern hemisphere, its seasons are reversed: summer (December–February) is hot, typically 30–33°C by day, with late-afternoon showers and thunderstorms, while winter (June–August) is dry and sunny, mild at 17–20°C by day but cold at night with occasional frost. Spring and autumn are pleasant, gentle transitions. Most of the rain falls in the warm half of the year, leaving winters dry and bright.
