Jerusalem Climate
Perched on the Judean Hills at around 750 m elevation, Jerusalem has a highland Mediterranean climate with dry summers and wet winters. Summers (June to September) are sunny, dry and warm at 28–31°C by day, with notably cooler evenings thanks to the altitude, while winters (December to February) are cool and rainy at 9–13°C, occasionally bringing snow when cold air pushes down from the north. Nearly all rain falls in winter, leaving the long summer almost entirely dry.
