Kabul's Climate

Kabul is the capital of Afghanistan, set at about 1,800 m in a valley amid the Hindu Kush mountains, with a semi-arid continental climate and large swings between day and night temperatures. Summers (June–August) are hot, dry and sunny, usually 30–35°C by day but cool after dark, while winters (December–February) are bitterly cold, regularly below 0°C, with snow and frost.
