Takeo's Climate
Takeo lies on the low-lying plains of southern Cambodia, near the Vietnamese border and not far from the coast, giving it a hot and humid tropical monsoon climate all year. The year splits into two clear seasons: a wet season from May to October, when the southwest monsoon brings frequent afternoon showers, thunderstorms and very high humidity, and a drier season from November to April with intense sunshine. Daytime temperatures usually sit at 30–35°C, peaking in March and April when they can top 37°C, while December and January feel a touch cooler. The flat lowlands can flood at the height of the rains.
