Zaragoza's Climate
Zaragoza is the capital of Aragón, set inland in northeastern Spain on the banks of the Ebro River, with a cold semi-arid Mediterranean climate and low rainfall all year. Summers (June–September) are hot and very dry, typically 30–36°C and occasionally above 38°C under fierce sun, while winters (December–February) are cold, with frost and thick valley fog and overnight lows around 0–4°C. Spring and autumn are mild, pleasant and see what little rain does fall. The city's signature feature is the cierzo, a dry, cold and often strong northwesterly wind that funnels down the Ebro valley.
