Aden's Climate

Aden sits on the Arabian Sea coast at the southern tip of Yemen, on a volcanic peninsula jutting into the Gulf of Aden, and has a hot coastal desert climate (Köppen BWh). It is hot almost all year, with high sea-driven humidity that makes the heat feel oppressive; summer (June–September) is hottest, with daytime highs usually 36–40°C alongside a dusty, sultry south-westerly monsoon. Winter (December–February) is more pleasant at around 24–29°C and is the most comfortable stretch. Rainfall is extremely low, limited to a few brief scattered showers, most likely in March–April or July–August.
