Amsterdam's Climate
Amsterdam has a temperate oceanic climate strongly shaped by the North Sea, bringing cool, cloudy and changeable weather all year. Summers (June–August) are mild, with daytime highs of 18–23°C and rarely much heat, while winters (December–February) are cold and damp, hovering around 2–7°C with strong winds and more drizzle than snow. Rain is spread fairly evenly across the months, peaking in autumn, and the sea breeze keeps skies overcast with sudden passing showers.
