Camayenne's Climate
Camayenne is a coastal quarter of Conakry, Guinea's capital in West Africa, set on a peninsula jutting into the Atlantic and blessed with a tropical monsoon climate that is hot and humid year-round. Temperatures stay fairly steady at 27–32°C, but rainfall swings sharply by season. The wet season (May–October) is extremely humid and torrential, with July and August making this one of the rainiest places in West Africa. The dry season (November–April) is hotter with little rain, sometimes touched by the dry, dusty harmattan wind blowing off the Sahara that hazes the sky.
