Dallas's Climate
Dallas sits in north Texas, USA, on the inland plains far from the sea, and has a humid subtropical climate with long, hot summers and mild but changeable winters. Summers (June–September) are hot and sultry, usually 33–38°C, with many days topping 38°C and little rain. Spring (March–May) is the peak of thunderstorms and tornadoes, as the city sits near "Tornado Alley" and catches severe storm outbreaks. Winters (December–February) are gentle, 10–16°C by day, but can flip abruptly when Arctic "norther" cold fronts plunge south, sometimes bringing ice. Autumn is cool and pleasant.
