Nairobi Climate
Though near the equator, Nairobi sits at around 1,795m, giving it a mild subtropical highland climate that stays pleasantly cool all year, with daytime highs of 21–26°C and nights down to 10–14°C. Rather than four seasons, the city has two rainy periods: the long rains from March to May and the short rains in November–December, separated by drier, sunnier spells. July and August are the coolest and sometimes cloudiest months, while January and February are usually the warmest and driest.
