Nay Pyi Taw's Climate

Nay Pyi Taw is the capital of Myanmar, set inland in the centre of the country near low hills and dry plains, and has a tropical savanna climate with three clear seasons driven by the monsoon. The hot season (March–May) is scorching and dry, usually 35–40°C and sometimes above 41°C; the rainy season (June–October) is cooler but humid, with showers and thunderstorms delivered by the southwest monsoon; and the cool dry season (November–February) is the most comfortable, with warm 28–32°C days and cool 15–19°C nights. Being far inland, the city runs hotter and drier than coastal Myanmar.
