Changzhou's Climate
Changzhou lies on the lower Yangtze plain in Jiangsu province, near Lake Tai in eastern China, with a humid subtropical monsoon climate and four clear seasons. Summers (June–August) are hot and muggy, usually 30–35°C, punctuated by the meiyu 'plum rain' spell in late June and early July, thunderstorms and the occasional typhoon influence. Winters (December–February) are chilly and damp, with daytime highs around 5–10°C and occasional cold snaps and drizzle. Spring and autumn are mild and pleasant, with autumn the driest and loveliest time of year.
