Tianjin's Climate
Tianjin is a major port city on the North China Plain, on the coast of Bohai Bay in northeastern China, close to Beijing. It has a monsoon-influenced humid continental climate (Koppen Dwa) with four distinct seasons. Summers (June–August) are hot, humid and muggy, with highs usually of 30–35°C, and receive most of the year's rain thanks to the monsoon, while winters (December–February) are cold and dry, with sharp northerly winds, many days below 0°C and occasional snow. Spring (March–May) is dry, windy and dusty, and autumn (September–October) is cool, dry and the most pleasant time of year.
