Gold Coast's Climate
Gold Coast sits in southeast Queensland along Australia's Pacific coast, and being in the southern hemisphere its seasons are reversed. The city has a humid subtropical climate with plentiful sunshine year-round. Summers (December–February) are hot and humid, typically 25–29°C, with afternoon showers and thunderstorms and occasional heavy rain from tropical cyclones, while winters (June–August) are warm, dry and clear, around 20–22°C by day with comfortably cool nights. Spring and autumn are mild with light rainfall.
