Guilin's Climate
Guilin lies in northeastern Guangxi, China, on the Li River amid its famous karst limestone peaks, giving it a humid subtropical monsoon climate. Summers (May–August) are hot and the wettest time of year, usually 28–34°C, with frequent showers, thunderstorms and a risk of riverside flooding, while winters (December–February) are cool and damp, rarely severely cold but often cloudy with mist wreathing the peaks. Spring brings plentiful drizzle, and autumn (September–November) is dry, cool and the loveliest season. Humidity stays high nearly all year.
