Heshan's Climate
Heshan lies in northern Hunan province in central China, near Dongting Lake and the Zi River basin, with a monsoon-influenced humid subtropical climate. Summers (May–September) are hot and muggy, usually 30–36°C, with high humidity and monsoon showers and thunderstorms that peak in early summer, while winters (December–February) turn cool, damp and overcast, with occasional cold spells down to 3–6°C and lingering drizzle. Spring is wet and cloudy, while autumn is the most comfortable stretch, dry and mild.
