Heze's Climate
Heze lies in southwestern Shandong province on the vast North China Plain, far inland from the sea, and has a temperate continental monsoon climate with four clearly defined seasons. Summers (June–August) are hot and humid, usually 28–34°C, with showers and thunderstorms concentrated by the ocean monsoon, while winters (December–February) turn dry and cold, dipping below freezing when Siberian air pushes south. Spring (March–May) is dry, windy and occasionally dusty, whereas autumn (September–November) is cool, dry and the most pleasant stretch of the year. Rainfall is heavily concentrated in the summer months.
