Hezhou's Climate
Hezhou lies in northeastern Guangxi in southern China, amid hills and rivers near the borders with Hunan and Guangdong, with a humid subtropical monsoon climate. Summers (May–September) are long, hot and very humid, reaching 30–35°C by day, with frequent thunderstorms; this is the main rainy season and brings a flood risk. Winters (December–February) are short and mild, typically 8–14°C, rarely turning sharply cold, with occasional fog and drizzle. Spring is damp and cloudy, while autumn (October–November) is dry, cool and the most pleasant time of year. Annual rainfall is high thanks to the summer monsoon.
