Huaibei's Climate
Huaibei sits in northern Anhui province in eastern China, on the North China Plain near the country's north–south climate divide, giving it a monsoon-influenced humid subtropical climate with a continental edge. Its four seasons are distinct: summers (June–August) are hot, humid and muggy, usually 31–36°C, with showers and thunderstorms concentrated in this period; winters (December–February) are cold and dry, around 2–8°C by day, dropping below freezing at night with occasional light snow. Spring and autumn are short, rapid transitions, and autumn (September–October) is the driest and most pleasant. Rainfall is concentrated in summer with the monsoon rhythm.
