Jiading's Climate
Jiading is a district in northwestern Shanghai, eastern China, set on the Yangtze delta plain near the coast, with a humid subtropical climate and four distinct seasons. Summers (June–September) are hot and humid, usually 30–35°C, opening with the drizzly early-summer 'plum rains' before turning to showers, thunderstorms and the risk of typhoons. Winters (December–February) are chilly and damp, around 5–10°C by day and rarely snowy. Spring and autumn are mild and pleasant, with autumn the driest, sunniest stretch of the year.
