Jiangmen's Climate
Jiangmen lies in the western Pearl River delta of Guangdong province in southern China, close to the coast, so it stays warm and humid year-round under a monsoon-influenced humid subtropical climate (Cfa). Summers from May to September are long, hot and humid with frequent showers and thunderstorms, temperatures usually 30–35°C, and the risk of typhoons or tropical depressions arriving from the South China Sea. Winters from December to February are short and mild, around 12–18°C, and rarely bitterly cold. Spring tends to be cloudy and damp, while autumn is dry and the most pleasant season.
