Jiaxing's Climate
Jiaxing sits in the Yangtze River delta in Zhejiang Province, eastern China, near Hangzhou Bay and not far from Shanghai, with a humid subtropical climate and four clear seasons. Summers (June–August) are hot and muggy, usually 30–36°C, and include the plum-rain spell in late June and early July plus a typhoon risk from July to September. Winters (December–February) are cold and damp at around 2–9°C, with occasional days below 5°C. Spring and autumn are mild and pleasant, and the loveliest times to visit. Rainfall is plentiful and spread through the year, with high humidity throughout.
