Jieyang's Climate
Jieyang lies in eastern Guangdong, southern China, near the coast of the Chaoshan region, with a humid subtropical climate shaped by the monsoon. Summers (May–September) are hot and humid, usually 30–35°C with frequent showers and thunderstorms, and this is also the season when tropical typhoons can sweep in from the South China Sea. Spring is damp and often foggy, while autumn (October–November) is dry and the most pleasant time of year. Winters (December–February) are cool and relatively dry, typically 12–18°C by day and rarely bitterly cold.
