Jingzhou's Climate
Jingzhou sits on the banks of the Yangtze River in Hubei Province, central China, on low-lying plains, and has a humid subtropical monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. Summers (June–August) are hot, humid and sultry, usually 30–36°C, with frequent showers, thunderstorms and prolonged heavy rain during the plum-rain season. Winters (December–February) are cold and damp, with daytime highs of about 4–9°C, cold spells bringing drizzle and only rare snow. Spring and autumn are milder, with autumn (September–November) the driest and most comfortable.
