Jiujiang's Climate
Jiujiang sits on the southern bank of the Yangtze River near Poyang Lake in Jiangxi province in eastern China, and has a humid subtropical monsoon climate with four clear seasons. Summers (June–August) are hot, muggy and humid, usually 32–36°C, with high humidity that feels stifling; this is also the wettest time, from the early-summer plum rains to later thunderstorms. Winters (December–February) are cool and damp, with some days dipping to 2–5°C and occasional frost, while spring is cloudy with drizzle and autumn is the loveliest stretch, dry and mild.
