Liaocheng's Climate
Liaocheng sits in western Shandong Province on the North China Plain in eastern China, well inland from the sea. It has a temperate continental monsoon climate with four clearly distinct seasons. Summers (June–August) are hot and humid, usually 30–35°C, with showers and thunderstorms concentrated by the monsoon. Winters (December–February) are cold, dry and sunny, with daytime highs around 0–6°C and nights typically below freezing. Spring is dry, windy and sometimes dusty, while autumn is cool, dry and the most pleasant time of year. Air quality can worsen in winter.
