Maianga's Climate
Maianga is a central district of Luanda, the capital of Angola, sitting near the Atlantic coast in the southern hemisphere with a tropical semi-arid climate (Köppen BSh), where the cold Benguela current limits rainfall despite the tropical latitude. The year splits in two: the warm, humid wet season from October to April brings showers, thunderstorms and daytime highs around 29–32°C, while the cacimbo dry season from May to September is cooler, with low cloud and fog and milder temperatures dropping to 22–26°C but almost no rain. The air stays humid and muggy for much of the year.
