Mulenvos's Climate
Mulenvos sits in Luanda province on Angola's Atlantic coast in the west of the country, near the capital and at about 9°S in the southern hemisphere. The area has a tropical semi-arid to steppe climate: hot and humid all year, yet with modest rainfall because the cold Benguela current offshore suppresses precipitation. The hot rainy season (October–April) brings short, heavy showers and thunderstorms, daytime highs of 28–32°C and oppressive humidity. The cooler dry season, known locally as the cacimbo (May–September), is overcast and misty along the coast, dry and milder at 22–27°C.
