Meishan's Climate
Meishan lies in central Sichuan province in southwestern China, within the fertile Sichuan Basin beside the Min River, with a humid subtropical climate marked by heavy cloud cover and high humidity. Summers (June–August) are hot and muggy, usually 29–34°C, with concentrated showers and thunderstorms that can cause flooding; winters (December–February) are cool and damp, around 6–12°C by day, rarely sunny and often overcast with fog and mist. Spring arrives early and warms steadily, while autumn (September–November) is mild but still rainy. Sheltered in the basin, the city sees little sunshine and high humidity year-round.
