Nanning's Climate
Nanning is the capital of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in southern China, an inland city on the Yong River not far from the Vietnamese border, with a monsoon-influenced humid subtropical climate (Köppen Cfa/Cwa) and greenery year round. Summers (May–September) are long, hot and humid, with daytime highs usually 32–36°C, frequent showers and thunderstorms, and occasional typhoon influence from the South China Sea, while winters (December–February) are short and mild, with highs of 15–20°C and the odd cold spell dipping to 8–10°C. Spring is damp and foggy, and autumn (October–November) is dry, cool and pleasant.
