Nanyang's Climate
Nanyang lies in southwestern Henan province in central China, in an inland basin ringed by hills, and has a humid subtropical climate (Cwa) with four distinct seasons. Summers from June to August are hot and humid with frequent showers and thunderstorms driven by the East Asian monsoon, and temperatures usually 30–35°C. Winters from December to February are cold and dry, with days dropping to 0–5°C and occasional frost or light snow. Spring and autumn are mild, dry and pleasant, the loveliest times of the year.
