Ningbo's Climate
Ningbo is a coastal port city in northeastern Zhejiang province, set on Hangzhou Bay in eastern China, with a humid subtropical climate shaped by the monsoon and the sea. Summers (June–September) are hot, humid and rainy, often 32–36°C, opening with the late-June 'plum rain' season before a sticky, typhoon-prone peak in August and September. Winters (December–February) are cool and damp, with daytime highs of 8–12°C and occasional cold spells with drizzle. Spring is cloudy with light rain, while autumn in October–November is the driest, coolest and loveliest time of year.
