Port Said's Climate
Port Said sits at the northern mouth of the Suez Canal on the Mediterranean coast of northeastern Egypt, so although it lies in a hot desert climate zone, the sea strongly moderates it. Summers (June–September) are hot and humid, typically 30–33°C, with high sea humidity making the air feel muggy. Winters (December–February) are mild and cool, around 12–19°C, with a few rare spells of light rain. Annual rainfall is very low and falls mostly in winter, while sea breezes blow almost year-round to ease the heat. Skies are largely clear and sunny.
