Qingyang's Climate
Qingyang lies in eastern Gansu province, China, on the Loess Plateau at around 1,000–1,400 m, giving it a cold semi-arid, continental-monsoon-influenced climate with four clear seasons. Winters (December–February) are cold and dry, with daytime highs typically 0 to -5°C and little snow, while summers (June–August) are warm at 26–31°C by day, bringing the showers and thunderstorms that supply most of the year's rainfall. Spring is dry, windy and often dusty, and autumn is cool, dry and clear. Day-to-night temperature swings stay large throughout the year.
