Shangqiu's Climate
Shangqiu lies in eastern Henan, central China, deep inland on the North China Plain, with a monsoon-influenced humid continental climate and four clear seasons. Summers (June–August) are hot and humid, usually 30–35°C, when showers and thunderstorms cluster and deliver most of the year's rainfall. Winters (December–February) are cold and dry, around 0–8°C by day, with occasional frost and light snow. Spring is dry, windy and sometimes dusty, while autumn (September–October) is cool, dry and the most pleasant time of year.
