Shaoguan's Climate
Shaoguan lies in the north of Guangdong Province in southern China, in a hilly inland area where rivers meet, with a humid subtropical climate (Köppen Cfa). Summers (May–September) are hot, humid and wet, typically 30–36°C with thunderstorms and showers, and this is also when the heaviest rain falls. Winters (December–February) are cool and comparatively dry, with occasional cold spells down to 5–10°C. Spring (March–April) is damp with lingering drizzle and fog, while autumn (October–November) is dry, comfortable and the loveliest time of year.
