Taizhou's Climate
Taizhou lies in Jiangsu province just north of the Yangtze on China's eastern plain and has a humid subtropical monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. Summers (June–September) are hot and humid, usually 30–35°C, opening with the meiyu plum rains of June–July and sometimes brushed by typhoons in late summer. Winters (December–February) are chilly and damp, typically 2–8°C, with northerly winds and occasional biting cold spells, though heavy snow is rare. Spring and autumn are transitional, with autumn (October–November) the coolest, driest and most pleasant stretch of the year.
