Weinan's Climate
Weinan sits on the Guanzhong plain of Shaanxi province in central China, beside the Wei River and deep inland, far from the sea. It has a humid continental monsoon climate with four clear seasons. Summers (June–August) are hot and humid, usually 30–36°C, and carry most of the year's rainfall in showers and thunderstorms, while winters (December–February) turn cold and dry, dipping below 0°C with occasional light snow. Spring (March–May) warms up but can be dusty and windy, whereas autumn (September–November) is cool, dry and the most pleasant season. Air quality often worsens in winter due to heating.
