Wenzhou's Climate
Wenzhou is a coastal city in southern Zhejiang, southeastern China, facing the East China Sea and shaped by a monsoon-influenced humid subtropical climate. Summers (June–September) are hot and humid with heavy rain and frequent typhoons or tropical depressions rolling in from the Pacific, usually 30–36°C, while winters (December–February) are mild and damp rather than harsh, with daytime highs around 8–13°C. Late spring into early summer brings the drawn-out plum rains that keep the air persistently wet, whereas autumn is generally the driest and most pleasant season.
