Xiamen's Climate
Xiamen is an island city on the southeast coast of Fujian province, China, facing the Taiwan Strait, with a humid subtropical climate shaped by the monsoon and the sea. Summers (June–September) are hot and humid, usually 28–34°C, with frequent showers and thunderstorms, and this is also typhoon season from July through September. Winters (December–February) stay mild and damp, rarely dropping below 8–10°C. Spring is misty with drizzle and clammy air, while autumn (October–November) is dry, cool and the most pleasant time of year.
