Xianyang's Climate
Xianyang lies in central Shaanxi province on the Guanzhong Plain along the Wei River basin, immediately beside Xi'an, with a temperate monsoon climate and four clearly marked seasons. Summers (June–August) are hot and humid, usually 28–35°C, and bring most of the year's rain through showers and thunderstorms, while winters (December–February) are cold and dry, often around 0–5°C with occasional light snow. Spring (March–May) is dry and sometimes dusty, and autumn (September–November) is cool, dry and the most pleasant time of year, though it can turn briefly rainy. Air quality tends to worsen in winter.
