Xinxiang's Climate
Xinxiang lies in northern Henan province on the North China Plain, close to the Yellow River, with a temperate monsoon climate and four clearly marked seasons. Summers (June–August) are hot and humid, usually 28–35°C, and deliver most of the year's rain through showers and thunderstorms, while winters (December–February) are cold and dry, often 0–5°C with occasional light snow. Spring (March–May) is dry and sometimes dusty as northern winds arrive, and autumn (September–November) is cool, dry and the most pleasant time of year. Air quality tends to worsen in winter.
