Xuzhou's Climate
Xuzhou lies in northern Jiangsu in eastern China, an inland transport hub on the North China Plain, with a humid subtropical climate edging toward temperate and four clearly marked seasons. Summers (June–August) are hot and humid, usually 30–35°C, and most of the year's rain falls now as the East Asian monsoon delivers showers and thunderstorms; winters (December–February) are cold and dry, typically 0–6°C with cold northerly winds and occasional light snow. Spring and autumn are short, mild and relatively dry, making them the pleasantest stretches.
