Yancheng's Climate
Yancheng sits on the Yellow Sea coast of Jiangsu province in eastern China, on a low coastal plain, giving it a humid subtropical climate shaped by the monsoon with four distinct seasons. Summers (June–August) are hot and humid, usually 27–33°C, with frequent showers and thunderstorms and the occasional Pacific typhoon, while winters (December–February) are cold, with days around 4–9°C and nights that can hover near freezing, bringing occasional light snow. Spring and autumn are short, cool and comfortable, and the loveliest times of year thanks to moderate humidity.
