Yangjiang's Climate
Yangjiang is a coastal city in Guangdong Province in southern China, sitting on the South China Sea, with a strongly monsoon-influenced humid subtropical climate. Summers (May–September) are hot, humid and very wet, with daytime highs typically 31–34°C, and this is peak typhoon season, giving the area some of the highest tropical-cyclone risk in the country, while winters (December–February) are mild and relatively dry, with warm days of 18–22°C but brief cold snaps down to around 10°C. Spring brings coastal fog and drizzle, while autumn is cool, dry and the most pleasant time of year.
