Yulin's Climate
Yulin lies in the southeast of the Guangxi region in southern China, just north of the Tropic of Cancer, giving it a humid subtropical monsoon climate. Summers (May–September) are long, hot and humid, usually 30–35°C, with frequent showers and thunderstorms driven by the southwest monsoon and the occasional typhoon or tropical depression sweeping in from the South China Sea. Winters (December–February) are short and mild, rarely bitter, with daytime highs of 14–20°C though cold snaps can dip to 6–8°C. Spring is cloudy and drizzly, while autumn is the coolest and driest stretch of the year.
