Zigong's Climate
Zigong sits within the Sichuan Basin in southwestern China, a low-lying land ringed by hills, giving it a humid subtropical climate known for heavy cloud cover and little sunshine. Summers (June–August) are hot and humid, usually 28–34°C, with showers and thunderstorms concentrated in these months; winters (December–February) are mild and damp rather than bitterly cold, typically around 5–10°C, with persistent fog and grey, overcast skies. Spring and autumn are mild and pleasant, though humidity stays high year-round. The basin terrain keeps winds light and fog thick, so the sky is often hazy.
