Zunyi's Climate
Zunyi lies in northern Guizhou in southwestern China, on a hilly plateau at around 800–900 m, giving it a humid subtropical climate tempered by elevation. Summers (June–August) are warm and rainy but less oppressive than the lowlands, with daytime highs typically 26–31°C, while winters (December–February) are cool, damp, overcast and short on sunshine, usually 3–9°C with only rare frost. The climate is cloudy and humid year-round, with fog a frequent visitor, especially in the cold months. Rainfall is concentrated in summer.
