Adana's Climate
Adana sits on the fertile Çukurova plain in southern Turkey, not far from the Mediterranean coast, and has a hot-summer Mediterranean climate (Csa). Summers from June to September are long, hot and muggy, with high humidity thanks to the nearby sea, daytime highs typically 33–38°C and almost no rain. Winters from December to February are mild and wet with plenty of rain, gentle temperatures around 10–16°C and only rare frost. Spring and autumn are short but pleasant, when the surrounding farmland turns green.
