Ahmedabad's Climate
Ahmedabad is the largest city in Gujarat, western India, set inland on the Sabarmati River with a hot semi-arid climate and three distinct seasons. Summers (March–June) are intensely hot and dry, usually 38–43°C and sometimes above 45°C before the monsoon arrives, while the monsoon season (June–September) brings showers and thunderstorms that ease the heat but raise humidity sharply. Winters (November–February) are dry, mild and pleasant, warm by day but dipping to 10–14°C at night. Most of the year's rainfall falls in those few monsoon months.
